Belén Ojeda Bernal is an English teacher graduated from Universidad del Bio Bio in 2017. During her undergraduate program, Belén participated in the Dual Degree Program offered between Universidad del Bio Bio and Grand Valley State University in Michigan. During her time abroad she took classes related to Second and Foreign language acquisition, education and liberal studies. Her studies abroad granted her a second undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree on Liberal Studies. Once back in Chile, Belén developed and implemented modules to improve the oral production of English language in a group of learners in the context of public education in Chile as part of her undergraduate research proposal.  She then traveled to New York City to present her research results at the New York State Annual Conference in 2017.

Since her graduation, Belén has been working at Liceo Bicentenario Nuestra Señora de la Merced in San Carlos, teaching levels from PreK to Highschool. As a result of her experience teaching English to young learners, she has designed and implemented strategies to work and teach English to children.
