Shadow W. J. Armfield, Doctor of Education (Ed. D), is a faculty member at Northern Arizona University (NAU) - College of Education where he has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Educational Technology since 2000. Previous to that he was a middle school science teacher at Flagstaff Middle School in Arizona (FMS). He has continued his relationship with FMS through the writing of grants to support a technology enhanced middle school program. He earned an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Technology in Education from Northern Arizona University. His research agenda focuses on the utilization of technologies by teachers and students in the K-12 classroom and the preparation of pre-service educators for the integration of technology into the K-12 classroom.
Currently, Dr. Armfield is the Chair of Educational Specialties at NAU.
